DIGITIZATION OF HISTORICAL ARTWORKS FOR ARCHIVING PURPOSES AND REPRODUCTION WITH USE OF AVAILABLE REVERSE ENGINEERING METHODS

Abstract

Reverse engineering offers a wide range of application options for engineering production, but its techniques can also be applied while preserving cultural heritage. The following article highlights the possibilities of spatial digitization of a work of art using affordable means. Gradually describes the digitization process, point cloud processing, and the creation of output formats for the preservation or reproduction of the artwork.
